Everybody's Doing It!

I know, everyone is doing it, and bloggers are probably getting tired of New Year posts, but I still wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2010. This will sound super cliche, but I can't believe it is the last day of 2010!

 This year we  had some struggles; HB was gone for half of it, but it also had it's joys, like HB's return, our First Wedding Anniversary, Lil Gbear's First Birthday, our first Christmas together as a family. (Heck even some silly things like we bought our first washer and dryer combo and our first brand new couch)

Overall, 2010 wasn't so bad, but I think 2011 can be even better. For the first time ever I've decided to have some resolutions. I don't want to have too many, because honestly I don't think I'll follow through if I get too many.

So, in no particular order:

• Get back into running shape. I want to, at the very least, be able to comfortably run a 5k again.
• Buckle down and really start preparing to take the Irish dance teachers exam (TCRG)
• Watch less junk TV and read more books.
• And one for the HB (he's the one that sparked my desire to have some goals) Less ice cream.

This one may seem totally silly, but HB eats ice cream like it's his job. I know he's not happy with his current physical appearance (I think he looks great, but he's definitely gained a few pounds since he's not playing rugby right now) Generally, I think he's just hoping to be healthier in the New Year (aren't we all!)

Those are a few of my goals for the New Year, but for tonight, we're going to get some champagne (and maybe some ice cream) and curl up on the couch and watch terrible TV while waiting for the ball to drop. Sounds like a good year to me.
