In the Mood for Love

We're celebrating Valentine's Day tonight since HB has tomorrow off work, so we figured it would be nice to enjoy a few drinks with dinner without having a super early morning. Nothing super fancy, we're just making a yummy dinner at home and watching a movie. We didn't feel like getting a sitter when we know we'll enjoy ourselves even more here at home.

So what's on the menu?

Swiss Fondue *credit*

Steak Pinwheels *credit*
I won't link to a recipe for that one, because I've edited a few and made my own slightly simplified, but still delicious version. Maybe I'll post it tomorrow ;)

And of course, being an Irish girl, no meal is complete without some potatoes. For dessert HB will be enjoying part of his Valentine's day gift.

What were you thinking I meant?! ;) I know ColdStone seems like a lame gift, but what I did was get a selection of things HB loves to celebrate my love for him. This included Cold Stone, Root Beer {the good stuff}, gift card to Jamba Juice and a few other little cheesy sentimental things.

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty darn smitten with the fact that I finally get to be in the same geographical location as HB for Valentine's Day. It's probably making me a little too mushy gushy, so forgive me if I fart rainbows for a day!

Oh and btw, I'm a guest blogger over at Guinn and Bare It. She's enjoying some Hubby loving this Valentine's weekend too :) Go over and check it out!

Mmmm that food looks good! I was pretty excited to spend V-day in the same place as my hubs this year too (this time last year he was on a deployment).
