Sleep, Legos, Mischief, Oh My!

Sleep. How I miss thee. Lil Gbear decided to wake up 3 times last night. The last time he did NOT want to go back to sleep. At 3:30 in the morning he was ready to start the day. Momma? Not so much.
But as the morning goes on (and after a few Diet Cokes) I’m starting to feel like a human being. It’s a good thing babies are so cute, it makes it easier on us parents when they’re struggles.
We had a good weekend, trips to the puppy park, and quality family time. We played a lot of Xbox Kinect and just enjoyed having the extra days. The electricity went out Sunday evening, so we went to bed early (luckily it came back on in the middle of the night) And I spent yesterday getting the house back in some sort of order.
A lot of good things coming up, Hubby and I’s anniversary is the weekend, so I’m going out to get him a gift. I’m thinking of getting him this:
Now, before you laugh, Hubby is always talking about Legos. We look at Legos every time we go to a store that has them. He always says Lil Gbear wants to look at them. There aren’t a lot of things that I think he would truly want, so Legos it is. I figure he would NEVER buy them for himself because he wouldn’t want to spend the money on something so frivolous. It was between Legos and a video game. Since Hubby insists that when we have a big Wedding festivity the only thing he cares about is that we include Legos, I figured I’d give a head start ;)

I am going to give him a little something sentimental too. He kept a folder of all the letters I wrote to him while he was in Afghanistan, so I bought  a binder and page protectors. I’m decorating the binder with a collage of photos of us. He’s talked about doing something with all the letters to keep them safe and so he can look at them sometimes. He actually suggested that we each have a book of letters and put them beside our bed, so we can read from them sometimes. Too cute.

Anyways, busy week ahead, we have a visitor coming for Thanksgiving- my best friend J. I’m really excited for her to visit ( I think HB might even be a little excited too) but I need to get the house more organized. It’s just not the way I like it! And start my Thanksgiving grocery shopping too.  All while trying to prevent mischief from Lil GBear...
Have a good Tuesday and hopefully I'll find time to catch up on what y'all have been up to!

Love the Lego idea! I also like the idea of scrapbooking the letters. My husband has all the letters I sent him when we were long distance dating and when I was in Spain. While I was in Spain I started keeping a journal of letters to him that I gave him on our wedding day. It's so fun to find him reading them from time to time.

I love the idea of scrapbooking the letters! It sounds perfect and your kids will look back and read them someday!

My fiance loves Legos too, especially the Lego City collection. He's really into the war games like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty but I think that is mostly because he's a military man lol!

Good luck on your scrapbooks!
