A Moment

In honor of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and all the friends and loved ones who are left behind, I hope you can take a moment of silence and honor them with your thoughts {and prayers if you are so inclined}At 3:00 pm take a moment from your day and give thanks, but remember, their sacrifice is enduring. Keep their memories alive always, not just on this one day a year.

A Soldier's Prayer
Psalm 23*
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

*Psalm 91 is often referenced as A Soldier's Prayer as well. I chose Psalm 23 because it was on the Memorial that I have pictured. Also, though it references soldiers, that does not by any means belittle the sacrifice of sailors, marines and airmen. In the end, we are all soldiers of the Lord.
